The Flayed One represents conflicting elements that feed one another, such as war and agriculture, death and sustenance, opposing seasons. Indirectly, he symbolizes the core of Omeyocan faith: power from sacrifice. Thus, the existence of realms that function differently is not only a cosmic danger but, for him, a personal affront, driving him to lead battles against them and terrify their worshipers.
